We’re waiving the article processing charge for manuscripts submitted by June 30, 2017. Submit your manuscript now and save $1,350!
APC payment is due upon acceptance of a manuscript and must be paid before production will begin. Payment must be made in full by one author (or their sponsor). Multiple sources of payment will not be accepted.
A surcharge may apply on very lengthy articles to cover the additional production costs; please contact the editorial office before submitting manuscripts in excess of 15,000 words.
Discounts & Waivers
FACETS will consider requests to waive article processing charges on a case-by-case basis. Before requesting a waiver, please ensure that all possible funding sources have been considered (e.g., your funder and (or) your institution may cover article processing charges). If your country is a member of the Research4Life program, your application will be given priority. Please contact email@example.com to request a waiver.
Publication decisions are based solely on editorial criteria and are completely independent of fee payments. Information about requests for fee assistance is not disclosed to journal editors or reviewers.
We are actively investigating methods of sponsorship and external funding that would provide support for authors who may not be able to cover the cost of an APC in part or in full. If you or your organization is interested in sponsoring publication costs for a group of authors (either by institution, field of study, or geography), please contact Laurent Gagnier. Sign-up for the FACETS newsletter to keep up to date on all developments regarding discounted APCs or alternative funding models.
